This website talks about how long-term use of the portable magnet therapy device called Almag + provides physiotherapeutic treatment to people who suffer from knee osteoarthritis.

Osteoarthritis (OA) is a chronic joint disorder affecting millions worldwide. According to the double-blind study for 55-week , the portable magnet therapy device ALMAG+ provides non-invasive alternative treatment for knee OA.

Almag+ is a device that provide electromagnetic fields to promote healing and alleviate pain. It is designed to be used by individuals with a wide range of health conditions, including arthritis, osteoporosis, and chronic pain. It is well known for its effectiveness and has received positive reviews from many users.

However the study enrolled 77 patients in which 32 (41.6%) were males, and 45 (58.4%) were females. During the study, the patients were required to continue taking their regular medication without any changes. They were not allowed to receive certain types of knee treatments, such as injections or physical therapy procedures, including electrotherapy, shockwave therapy, heat therapy, hydrotherapy, or peloid therapy, for at least three months before joining the study and throughout the study.

After randomly selecting participants, 40 patients (52%) were given placebo treatments (Group 1), and 37 patients (48%) were given active treatments (Group 2). During the 55-week follow-up, three courses of 18 daily home magnet therapy procedures were performed.

The results showed a significant improvement in the WOMAC (Western Ontario and McMaster Universities Osteoarthritis Index ) score in the treatment of group 2 as compared to group 1 Week 21 (p=0.038) and Week 55 (p=0.017) of the study, probably due to the anti-inflammatory effect.

As a result , no adverse events were associated with the use of the ALMAG+ (Almag Active) device, and no exacerbations of immunoinflammatory rheumatic diseases were reported during the study period.

In conclusion, this study suggests that magnet therapy using a portable device may be an effective and safe alternative treatment for knee OA. The study’s long-term follow-up period of 55 weeks adds to the evidence supporting the efficacy of magnet therapy.
